We had a fun little devMEET this morning, just five of us crazies. It was a blast though! ~ajayverghese and I were the first to arrive on the scene at NGMA, and soon enough were joined by ~grisloup, ~Xandox and ~Madsterinc.


After a quick introduction, we headed into the gallery to check two wonderful exhibits - Signposts of the Times featuring works by various Indian artists, sculptors and photographers, and TV Viewers, a photo exhibit by Olivier Culmann. We then headed to the cafe for some extra-sweet chai and to discuss what we just saw, and had a little show and tell too, describing our choicest works and detailing the stories behind them.

Turned out that we were all photographers today: ~ajayverghese was kicking it old-school, and brought a lovely collection of slides (photos) from his recent trip to Kerala;
~grisloup showed off his architecture photography portfolio;
~Madsterinc took us through Bihar with his set of shots from his two-month stint in the state as a researcher;
~Xandox brought to the table a delightful collection of conceptual photography, sketches and digital art (most of which can be seen in her gallery) and I showed my favourite photo sets - Varanasi and Munshi Galli (the latter was shown to describe my ideas for a project to capture sights of Bangalore city that haven't changed in years).

We then headed to Lavelle Road for a quick but heavy lunch at The Egg Factory, an eggetarian restaurant. We discussed plans for future meets, and we're looking to have another meet on the 21st.
